Leeds Metropolitan University

Leeds has one of the largest student populations outside London, so you will be sure to feel at home.

The city has excellent train and bus links, and Leeds Bradford Airport has regular flights to many international destinations.


The University's origins can be traced back to 1824, with the foundation of the Leeds Mechanics Institute. They have a mixture of old and new buildings on their campuses - the oldest building is at their Headingley Campus and dates back to 1752. Leeds Met boast over 100 years' of quality teaching experience, delivered by leading practitioners with strong links to industries and the professions - many are world-renowned authorities in their fields. Many international figureheads have received honorary awards from Leeds Metropolitan University, including Haile Gebrselassie, regarded as one of the greatest distance runners of all time.
